Test Strips
The blood glucose meter measure the amount of sugar (glucose) in whole blood. Blood is applied to the absorbent hole of the strip and is automatically drawn into the reaction where the reaction takes place. Important information you should knows about the strip:
1.Apply only a blood sample to the place where the absorbent hole is.
Applying other substances (not a blood) will cause inaccurate results.
2.Do not use out-of-date test strips.
Check the expiration date printed on the test strip box and on each test strip foil packet. If only the month and year are printed on the test strip, then the expiration date is the last day of that month.
3.Use the test strip immediately when you take it out of its foil packet.
4.Do not use a wet, bent, scratched, or damaged test strip
5.Do not use the test strip if its foil packet has a puncture or tear in it.
6.Before you monitor, allow your meter and test strip to reach the recommended operating range of the test strip.
7.Store test strip packages in a cool, dry place. Keep away from direct sunlight and heat. Do not refrigerate.

Lancing Device
In order to draw the blood for the test, you will need some other diabetes medical supplies: a lancing device and lancets. The purpose is to get enough blood for a test without too much discomfort or pain. Use your lancing device to obtain a blood drop.
Recommendations for obtaining a Blood drop are:
a.To obtain a sample from an alternative site (forearm, upper arm, or base of the thumb), use an appropriate alternative site lancing device.
b.Before you obtain a blood sample from the fingertip, forearm, upper arm, or base of the thumb, make sure the sample site is clean, dry, and warm. To warm the sample site, wash it in warm water, rub the skin vigorously for a few seconds, or apply a warm pad to it.
c.Hang your arm down before pricking your finger or the base of the thumb to help blood flow.
d.To obtain a blood sample from the arm, use a fleshy area away from bone. Avoid areas where there is a lot of hair.
e.Avoid squeezing the puncture site
f.Apply the blood sample to the test strip immediately

Lancet
Lancing device and lancet always combines to get a blood for the test. Use lancet only once and dispose of carefully after replacing protective cap. Lancets sterilized using irradiation.
Do not use lancets unless the package that contains them was sealed at purchase
Always remember this for your safety:
1.Lancets are for one-time use only. Use a new lancet each time you monitor.
2.Discard your used lancet properly. Put it in an empty puncture-resistant container, such as a plastic milk carton or detergent bottle.
3.Never share your lancing device or lancet with another person.
4.Never use the same lancet to obtain blood samples from different people.
5.Do not reuse lancets.

Control Solution
Doing a control solution test tells you that your meter and test strips are working correctly. A control solution test is similar to when you monitor your blood glucose. Do not use a drop of blood for a control solution.
Before you use the meter to test your blood for the first time, do the procedure for control solution. If the test results that fall outside of the range (printed of each meter), the meter may not be working properly. Do not use the meter to test your blood. If you are unable to resolve the problem, call the dealer for assistance.

Important information about control Solution testing:
1.Each meter had a control solution for the system, read the control solution instruction for use for more detailed information
2.Do not use the control solution if the expiration date has passed. Check the expiration date printed on the control solution bottle of each meter.
3.When you open a control solution bottle for the first time, count forward 90 days and write this date on the control solution bottle using a pen that won’t smear or wipe off. Throw away any remaining solution after this date.
4.The results obtained from control testing do not reflect your personal blood glucose levels in any way.
5.Do not swallow the control solution, keep away from the children,

How to Monitor your Blood Glucose
If look in User’s Guide, you will see the way to use the meter. But, in general way, meter can be you used as a follow:
1.Wash your hands using warm soapy water and dry them completely
2.Prepare your lancing device
3.Remove the test strip from its foil packet
4.Insert the strip into the strip port in the meter
5.Push the test strip in until it stops.
6.Applying the blood Drop to the test strip.
The blood is drawn into the test strip. You will hear the beeper, if the beeper is on.
7.The display windows of the meter shows the status bar, then the display window shows the countdown.
8.At the end of the countdown: if the beeper is on, listen for the beeper.
The blood glucose result shows on the display window of the meter.
9.Write the result.
10.Removing the test strip from the strip port turns off the meter. You can use the opened foil packet to remove and discard your used test strip. Discard the test strip properly.
11.You may also turn the meter off by pressing and holding the shutdown button. If you do not turn your meter off or pull the test strip out, the meter shuts off automatically after 60 seconds.

You may still have a variation from the result because blood glucose levels can change significantly over short periods, especially if you have recently eaten, exercised, taken medication, or experienced stress.
